In The Black: Why The IRS will need to watch OnlyFans in 2026

Maybe you've heard of the part of the new tax bill that exempts $25,000 in "qualified tips" for some workers from taxes? Well as part of that, the current administration made sure to EXCLUDE from any performers or content creators that are, ahem, ... spicy. Here's the fun part, how will the IRS determine what's let's say "artistic and risqué" as opposed to what they deem pornographic? Well, they'll have to review it .

For context: OnlyFans (OF) is huge and has only gotten more popular in recent years. Forbes reported that $7.2 billion was spent on OF in 2024, and OnlyFans said that it has 4.6 million creator accounts.

For an understaffed IRS, that's a lot of content to watch!
